Once you have the baics covered, our build your own project courses help you to build on these foundations and immerse yourself futher into more complex woodworking and joinery techniques.

Our Project course is the perfect follow on to our beginner course. It allows you to plan and make your own piece of furniture with our guidance and tutelage.
If you have completed one of our beginner courses or think you have a basic understanding of how to accurately use hand tools and understand the fundamentals of working with wood, you can build your own course around a project you want to undertake. The ANH Artisan studios are based at Harehope Quarry one the outskirts of Frosterley in Weardale, County Durham.
Harehope quarry is beautiful local wildlife Site with areas of wet woodland, species-rich limestone, grassland and ponds and rivers. This location gives our courses the perfect relaxing and peacful backdrop in which to immerse yourself in you woodworking journey.
Harehope Quarry also offers a holiday cottage on site should you need accomodationwhich can be booked by visiting the Harehope Quarry website (subject to availability). There are also a number of local holiday cottages to book in the wider Weardale area.

Should ANH Artisan Furniture Makers need to cancel the course you will receive a full refund of the fee you have paid however we operate a strict cancellation policy whereby if you cancel your place within 4 weeks of the course date you will not be offered a refund, you may however be offered an alternative course date subject to availability.
